Desizing Enzyme Optisize® HN2001

Optisize® HN2001 is a traditional bacterial α-amylase used as a basic component in textile desizing enzyme formulations. It can break down starch, starch derivatives, and starch/synthetic size blends on fabrics. Optisize® HN2001 has strong starch-degrading ability, quickly converting starch into dextrins that can be easily and completely removed in subsequent washing processes.

Our company's Optisize® HN series activity is determined according to internal company standards, using synthetic starch as substrate (BGNP). Enzyme activity is expressed in RAU activity units.

Many factors can affect the desizing effect, such as:

5. Subsequent processing steps
6. Water hardness, water quality conditions, etc.

Process Conditions

·Chelating Agents: Should not be used simultaneously with Optisize® HN enzyme. Hard water and common salts can enhance its stability.

·Chemical Auxiliaries: Wetting agents, detergents, scouring agents, or solvent rinses can be used with all Optisize® HN applications to enhance penetration and size swelling, while also aiding in the removal of waxes, dust, and synthetic sizes.

Generally, non-ionic surfactants are suitable for use with the enzyme, while cationic and anionic surfactants may impair enzyme activity.

During desizing applications, it is recommended to use lubricants together with desizing amylase to reduce fabric creasing and marring, especially during desizing in drum washers, jet dyeing machines, or during denim washing. The addition of a lubricant is recommended.

Whenever any chemical is used together with the enzyme, compatibility must first be checked and ensured.

Recommended Dosage

Table 2 serves as a general guide for determining the dilution ratio of the desizing enzyme based on the application characteristics of Optisize® HN2001.

Note: The above dosages are for reference only. In actual use, they must be adjusted based on experimental results.

Packaging
Optisize HN2001 is available in 25 kg and 30 kg plastic drums.
Storage
Optisize HN amylase should be stored at 25°C or lower in a cool, dark, dry, and clean environment.
Safety and Enzyme Management
Inhalation of enzyme dust and mist should be avoided. In case of accidental splashing onto skin or eyes, rinse immediately with water for more than 15 minutes.
